eco-classrooms - architect designed sustainable teaching spaces

Why an eco-classroom

We can all draw upon old school memories of lessons in a damp mobile classroom, when it was freezing cold in the winter and unbearably hot in the summer - neither of which were conducive to a positive learning environment. Introduced during the 1960's and 70's as a quick-fix solution to lack of classroom space, the `mobile' classrooms are still in use today and are poorly maintained and ever deteriorating.

In an age where children are being taught on interactive white boards using and handheld computers, it would seem these out-dated, prefabricated surroundings are totally unsuitable

Our vision for the future is eco-classroom.
